Togendowagan Society

Togendowagan Society

The Togendowagan Society is an inter-tribal Native American Spirit Society, composed of both Native and non-Native traditions and people, journeying together toward the Creator. We meet at St. Peter’s on the second and fourth Saturdays of October through May at 5:30 for Prayer Circle and Holy Eucharist, followed by a community meal.

Bargain Basement

Bargain Basement

Located at St. Peter’s Episcopal Cathedral, the Bargain Basement is the little thrift shop that blesses. The Bargain Basement sells clothing, shoes, accessories, home goods, jewelry, small furniture and appliances. All items must be in good working condition. All battery operated items must contain batteries.

God’s Love and Shelter

God’s Love and Shelter

Founded in 1981, God’s Love Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Christian organization located in Helena. God's Love provides shelter for those in need, meals three times a day, clothing and hygiene products, financial assistance, and the Family Transitional Center, offering temporary shelter for families seeking permanent housing.

Family Promise

Family Promise

St. Peter's Cathedral is part of Family Promise of Helena, which helps children and their families overcome homelessness. Hosting families, which we do on a rotating basis with other Helena-area churches, requires the efforts of many volunteers.

If you are interested in helping by serving as a supper host, an overnight host (at the church), a food supplier, or by doing setup or cleanup, or assisting in other ways, please call Maggie Stockwell at 465-0707 or Donna Church at 439-6811.

YWCA Helena is a non-profit organization that provides transitional housing and supportive services for homeless women and their children.

Helena Food Share Food Bank

Helena Food Share Food Bank

Since 1987, Helena Food Share has been working to create a hunger-free community. Their mission is to serve our neighbors in need by providing food in a respectful and dignified way and, by working with others, to eliminate hunger in the greater Helena area. The Community Food Resource Center market and mobile service offer fresh produce, deli items, frozen products, bread, baking goods, items made in its kitchen, and extra and specialty items. There are no income requirements.

Florence Crittenton Home for abused women and families

Florence Crittenton Family Services of Montana offers a safe, nurturing place for abused women and their families to heal, grow, and thrive. Its comprehensive array of services includes therapeutic and treatment-based residential care, home visiting, community parenting classes, outpatient treatment for mental health and substance use disorders for caregivers of all ages and/or their children, and early education and childcare for children ages 0-5.

Since 1992, Helena Area Habitat for Humanity has been dedicated to building affordable, decent, and safe housing units and performing critical repairs on existing homes when needed.
